REQUIREMENTS FOR MEMBERSHIP

WITH THE

CENTRAL ARIZONA TALL SOCIETY

QUALIFICATIONS

Membership applications may be accepted from any male or female who fulfills the following:

  1. Be found by measuring committee to be of a stocking-feet height of not less than six feet, two inches (6'2") if a male and not less than five feet, ten inches (5'10") if a female.
  2. Be twenty-one (21) years of age or older at the time of acceptance.
  3. Be of good moral character, and worthy of the trust and confidence of C.A.T.S. members.
  4. Pay the required Administration Fee and Member Dues as specified in Standing Rules.
  5. Have participated in a minimum of three (3) club activities, one (1) of which must be a Regular C.A.T.S. business meeting, a paper put-out, a club community fund-raiser, a club community service project, or club activity committee meeting.

CLASSES AND PRIVILEGES

 


"Regular Members" shall be those who have met C.A.T.S. requirements and who have been accepted as Members by a majority vote at a Regular C.A.T.S. Meeting. They have dues-paying responsibility and voting privileges, and shall receive all C.A.T.S. newsletters free of charge.



"Life Members" are Regular Members who have been active members in the Club for five (5) full consecutive years prior to submitting their request at a Regular Board Meeting, which request shall be considered and must be approved by a majority Board vote. Upon approval, the Life Member shall pay the appropriate dues as defined.



"Charter Members" are the original club members whose names appear on the Club charter, who shall not be required to pay dues and have no voting privileges.

 



"Special Dues Rates for Officers and House Parties"  

Officers:

* Beginning 9/1/2011, a Board Officer who serves a full term receives the following year’s dues free. If one of the full-term board members is paying dues as a Couple, they will receive a $20 discount off of their couple’s rate (they will owe $5 if they receive an email newsletter and $10 if they receive a mailed newsletter). If a Board Officer does not complete the full term of their office, they will not receive free dues the following year. If another member steps up to take their place and finishes the year’s term, then the new officer will receive free dues pending board approval.

House Parties:

**Beginning 9/1/2011, a member who holds three (3) or more house parties receives the following year’s dues free. If a household contains more than one member (living together or married) and they host five (5) or more house parties, both memberships are free. Maximum two free memberships per household.
