The Central Arizona Tall Society, along with Tall Clubs International, supports the National Marfan Foundation in their efforts to battle this serious disorder. The Marfan syndrome is a heritable disorder of the connective tissue that affects many organ systems, including the skeleton, lungs, eyes, heart and blood vessels. The condition affects both men and women of any race or ethnic group. It is estimated that at least 200,000 people in the United States have the Marfan syndrome or a related connective tissue disorder.

 


       Scholarship Grants

C.A.T.S. supports the Tall Club International Foundation in their efforts to help college age students with scholarship grants.

A scholarship committee is formed to select a Central Arizona candidate and award them a local grant towards the college of their choosing. The area representative is then submitted to the annual TCI convention to be considered for the TCI Scholarship Award or one of the TCI Foundation Awards.
